Tillu Square is that rare sequel that improves on the original in nearly every aspect.

The hallmark of a great comedy franchise is not just creating a funny protagonist but also populating this world with equally likeable and amusing supporting characters and Tillu Square does this perfectly; even Tillu sidekicks make a funny impression this time and I look forward to catching Tillu, his family and friends in the third part, if we do get one. And I will be up for it because the prospect of having a home-grown comedy franchise is never not exciting.(more)

Tillu's magic works again

Tillu Square is a neat sequel to DJ Tillu, with an abundant amount of entertainment. Siddhu as Tillu is the heart and soul of this madcap entertainer, and he will once again win over us with his amusing comedy timing, screen presence, and mannerisms. The story is pretty much the same as the first installment, and a few scenes will give us a Deja Vu feeling. The first half is a bit underwhelming, and a few aspects dont look convincing. But the majority of the second half is filled with non-stop entertainment that works pretty well. There are hiccups, but the entertainment factor keeps the film going. Those who liked DJ Tillu will end up liking this sequel as well. Go for it.(more)

Mallik Ram's direction and Siddhu Jonnalagadda's writing combine to create a story rich in entertaining content. The narration begins with Siddhu Jonnalagadda recounting the events of the first part, "DJ Tillu," before delving into bold and youthful content that keeps the audience engaged. The first half concludes promising a more entertaining second half.
