A funny, frivolous, and delectable crime comedy

While all three bring their A game, Tabu and Kareena exude bonafide movie star energy to show how it's done. Bebo oozes oomph and substance as a hustler who conceals her loneliness. Torn between responsibilities and desires, Tabu is terrific. The two are electrifying on screen with characters distinctly written for each. The two even crack age related jokes that we are sure they resonate with. Kriti seems like a third wheeler here but has great chemistry with Diljit. If you are looking for some light-hearted madcap comedy, Crew is everything you expect from it frivolous, funny and glamourous.(more)

Tabu, Kareena and Kriti's film flies high, lands safely

'Crew' is a welcome change. It's light, easy-breezy and stays true to being a masala entertainer. This is a film where you do not need to put your brain, and can just enjoy a hearty laugh. Just like 'Madgaon Express', that was released last week, this one gets its comic timing right and is a good watch.(more)

Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, Kriti Sanon's easy-breezy comedy washes away stench of recent Bollywood duds

The writers keep everything brisk and snappy and, in places, sitcom-y, not giving us a chance to dwell on the frequent contrivances, and convenient loops the characters are made to jump through. The touchy-feely moments which give the film an emotional core are not overdone: an air-hostess (Pooja Bhamrrah) who loses all hope of getting her pending money from the absconding Mallya, oops Walia, helped by his complicit right hand man (Rajesh Sharma), has had to face the ignominy of her child being chucked out of school.(more)

Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, Kriti Sanon's turbulent threesome should've lasted a little longer

Crew makes you laugh, and have fun while serving some cheesy and cocky humour, and manages to stay afloat despite a lot of turbulence, all thanks to the threesome that you wish lasted a little longer.(more)

A Heist Film Out To Deliver Some Harmless Fun

Acting on a tip-off, the sub-inspector orders a thorough search of the aircraft that Geeta, Jasmine and Divya are on. The three ladies are forced to deboard. They are under scanner on suspicion of smuggling gold from Mumbai to a fictitious Middle Eastern country. This is the point where Crew begins. The film circles back to the same juncture at the intermission mark. The second half loses power rather quickly because nothing that the protagonists do to set things right for themselves has any element of surprise.(more)

Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan & Kriti Sanon risky golden affair is hugely entertaining

Crew is an entertaining and delectable film with hard realities of being a middle-class in India when you have to show to the world that all is fine, when in reality everything around you is falling apart. It is indeed an art to deliver a serious message with a hilarious tone.(more)

CREW is a fun entertainer and rests on fine performances.

Nishi Mehra and Mehul Suri's story is entertaining. Nishi Mehra and Mehul Suri's screenplay is swift and packs in a lot. The writing, however, gets very convenient in the second half. Nishi Mehra and Mehul Suri's dialogues are sharp but could have been funnier. Rajesh Krishnan's direction is fine. He keeps the mood of the film very light and this ensures that the film appeals to all sections of the audience. The back-and-forth narrative adds to the intrigue value, meanwhile. The introduction of characters is done in style and sets the mood. The best, however, is reserved for the climax when the trio decide to teach baddies a lesson.(more)

Enjoyable!

Crew may fall short of a few elements to be declared a blockbuster but kudos to the makers for putting the pun, I mean fun, in the right place. This is an enjoyable flight you can watch without any seatbelts.(more)
