This adorable rom-com hits the right spots

Despite top-notch comedic performances, the film follows a serious tone in the second half. The first sets you up for an enjoyable ride while the second half invites you to feel for the characters, but it falls short. However, when the film seems to be losing track, a fun and endearing car chase sequence brings it back on its feet. Vishu Vijay's incredible score greatly amplifies such scenes.(more)

Delightful rom-com

Premalu is an impressive rom-com entertainer with plenty of amusing moments. Naslen K. Gafoor, Mamitha Baiju, Sangeeth Prathap, and Shyam Mohan are adorable in their roles. Premalus strengths are its humorous sequences, relatable moments, simple characters, and cute love story. Not just the Malayali audience, there are high chances for the Telugu audience to get connected to Premalu as it explores the bustling city of Hyderabad in a great manner. If you ignore the thin storyline and a few slow portions, this film is very much enjoyable. Recommended.(more)

Naslen, Mamitha Baiju are cute as a button in this charming love story full of delightful moments

In addition to its well-crafted and captivating writing, the performances in Premalu elevate the film further. Mamitha Baiju effortlessly embodies her role as Reenu, bringing authenticity and depth as if shes lived the characters life. She refrains from adding unnecessary embellishments to make Reenu seem more endearing or affectionate, maintaining the characters integrity even during emotional moments. Naslen, at the same time, skillfully navigates Sachins life journey, portraying each emotion with care, not overdoing anything, ensuring a believable performance. It is also refreshing to see young male actors like Naslen avoiding the pressure to take up male chauvinistic roles and movies that celebrate it to assert their masculinity simply because that is the norm. Mamitha and Naslens on-screen chemistry too is heartwarming, leaving viewers wanting more.(more)

A Blissful Watch

Girish managed to capture the spirit of Hyderabad with fine film making which we usually dont see in a Malayalam movie. The movies simplicity never really comes across as plain but pleasing. And the way humor has been sprinkled throughout keeps the narrative taut for the most part. Had the ending been a bit better, the movie wouldve felt more wholesome, climax felt a bit rushed.(more)
