An Epic Disaster That Offers An Horrendous Experience

Truly terrible VFX in every aspect, the film looks like an age-old video game with a cartoon-style approach. The director is at fault, the guy cant even shoot a lotus flower for real and solely depends on graphics. Decent 3D experience with good depth, although the pop-outs are less. (more)

Ramayana rides high on action over ethos in this super-heroic reboot

The VFX and visual appeal are passable if not impressive. The 3D feels like an unnecessary accessory. With a run time of 3 hours, you wish the story wasnt as dependent on the special effects as it should have been on the nature of its revered characters or what set them apart. Part Planet Of The Apes, Part King Kong

What Adipurush thinks of women is made amply clear in the cavalier manner in which it places them on the periphery of the saga and deprives them of the power to intervene in a meaningful manner when push comes to shove. Be it Rani Mandodari, Ravana's neglected wife, or Surpanakha, the demon king's sister who seeks vengeance after her nose is chopped off by Lakshmana, they can only whine and complain.(more)
