A 'not to miss' college nostalgia tale
The film does fall under the category of some of the other films like Premam, Autograph and Kirik Party but has its own uniqueness in most aspects. In fact, it may even have a lot more relatable factors for those who studied at an Engineering college within Chennai. The USP though, being the secret alley and the climax that would surely touch one and all!(more)

A marvelously structured memory piece on soul searching
Hridayam is a gigantic, ambitious puzzle of a narrative, built confidently around a certain time in a person's life that informs the type of person that you turn out to be in the future. The screenplay is infused with fifteen songs yet the interlacing works for the nature of the story, a character driven memory piece as opposed to a plot heavy drama. (more)

Vineeth does something clever here by finding interesting ways to bring back the seeds he'd planted early on. Some of them don't work at all like when an old enemy is brought back for a quick gag.
