An Appealing Biopic where Sandeep Madhav Stuns All The Way
Jeevan Reddy's direction intakes several influences from Ram Gopal Varma. Much later, I learnt that he has assisted RGV and Sandeep Madhav made his debut with RGV's biopic drama, Vangaveeti. From dramatic extended closeups to head-boggling 360 degree camera works, from the manly female lead sketch to hysterically ambitious villains, the film lends several cinematic techniques and explores it brilliantly. Man of Action movie review: Earnest biopic has noble intentions, and middling writing
One of the most inspiring sequences in the film is a speech delivered by George Reddy where he urges the students to raise their voice. You can see that a revolution is imminent and it�s the crux of the film. In the end, you can't help but think that, perhaps, that inspiring speech and the man who delivered it deserved a better film.(more)

George Reddy is an interesting biopic. It had the scope to be powerful and spark conversations about the history of student leaders and their ideologies, among a newer audience. This film doesn't rise up to that potential.(more)

Only for a few thrills
George Reddy is a realistic student drama that has some good thrills. The setup, performances, and BGM are huge assets of the film. On the flip side, a dull second half with simple proceedings, lack of good drama, and abrupt climax take down the film to an extent. The youth will like the film as it has some good mass fights but for other general audiences, this film is just a strictly okay watch with passable proceedings.(more)

A timely film about student activism
George Reddy was a tough guy who could solve a complicated math problem. That's a combination we are used to seeing in the make-believe world of movies. But, to know a man like that existed in real life, is quite inspiring.(more)
