A template family drama that has its enjoyable moments!

Sathyaraj at the centre of the film is a dignified presence and is terrific. His calm demeanor even as others around him are overtly melodramatic is what balances Prati Roju Pandage. Rao Ramesh at the other end of the spectrum is responsible for all the laughter. He sells the over the top portions superbly. The film largely works due to these two actors. (more)

Predictable but saved by good performances

Don't get us wrong because Prati Roju Pandaage has ample moments that'll make you smile and relate to the characters, if not anything else. Go watch this one if family dramas that are relatable and leave you feeling good are your cup of tea.(more)

Good comedy forced emotions

Pratiroju Pandage is a typical family drama that has a predictable story and decent fun. A hurried up climax and lack of gripping emotional drama takes the film down a bit. But the comedy generated at regular intervals is pretty good and keeps the viewers engaged and ends this film as an average watch this weekend.(more)

Sathyaraj, Rao Ramesh are terrific but film could've been more consistently engaging

By placing the onus of the emotional reckoning on the family members rather than the old man, Maruthi turns Prathi Roju Pandage into a discourse on how we engage with our parents and grandparents in their old age. It has its share of laughs and emotional moments. It manages to deliver what it sets out to achieve, even if the journey is a little shaky in a few stretches.(more)

A fun ride

The film works because it's not moralistic and it doesn't take itself too seriously. It's a film that tells every day is a celebration. Although it's not a masterpiece by any standards, it is well-intended and Maruthi goes about his job with sincerity. I think that's enough for the audience to spend their wintry evening watching this family entertainer. (more)

Fun, But Inconsistent

The film scores in its entertainment. Rao Ramesh provides a lot of fun in the second half, while the first half is largely entertaining as a whole. Despite predictability and regular sentiment sequences, 'Prati Roju Pandage' turns into an okay watch due to this reason and its feel-good factor.(more)
