Spoof comedies can be a tricky affair and this one is way too underwhelming to tickle your funny bone for full two hours.

The movi's writing, direction and execution become increasingly childish and pointless in the second half, as it stumbles towards a hotch-potch of a climax. Thankfully, the makers do not resort to cheap, offensive or vulgar humour in a desperate attempt to make you laugh. Film's music is average except for the peppy dance number 'Preeto'. (more)

Diljit Dosanjh And Kriti Sanon's Film Is Beyond Silly

Arjun Patiala is way too aimless a ride to give an audience looking for genuine humour the feeling that its purpose is in with a real chance of being served. This cops-and-criminals rigamarole is never in the game.(more)

Diljit Dosanjh, Kriti Sanon can't make up for lack of jokes

The actor has earned his stripes in Punjabi cinema and needs better roles than what Arjun Patiala or the excruciating Welcome to New York have offered him in Hindi till now. Kriti Sanon and Varun Sharma are effective but are let down by mediocre material. It is Pankaj, Seema Pahwa and Ronit Roy who are truly wasted in the film.(more)

A pointless affair

With Diljit Dosanjh's high likeable quotient, faithful sidekick Varun Sharma's skills at delivering broadsides, pretty heartthrob Kriti Sanon's dazzling pearly-whites, and a host of reliable supporting acts, Arjun Patiala should have been much better than it is.(more)

Logic is far and few between in this Diljit Dosanjh, Kriti Sanon film

Varun Sharma repeats his buffoon act and Kriti Sanon reprises her pretty small-town girl role. Both deliver been-there-seen-that performances. Diljit Dosanjh is left holding this foolishness together. To his credit, he doesn't amplify his performance as the affable local law-enforcer but lets the jokes find their way out.(more)

It's A 'Poor Spoof' Of A Spoof!

All said and done, my words will not be enough to measure the torture I've been through while watching the film. I had to do this because it was my job, but you have an option to save yourself!(more)
