Virus is a well made, gripping film about survival. A must watch.
Virus has excelled in mood creation. We witness the unpopulated aerial view of exteriors and on the other side, you see starkly lit, crowded interiors that carries a constant air of dread. The strong use of primary colours (red and green) don't merely exist as flashy visual touches, but it perfectly conveys the space of an infected ward. The segue and transition from one scene to another is flawlessly executed (the film is edited by Saiju Sreedharan).(more)

The collective effort on and off the screen has really enabled Virus to be a superbly made thriller. Every department has done a commendable job in their efforts to present an authentic story. And the most brilliant one of them all was the script that made sure that every character has a little bit of back-story which will make them a real human being on screen.(more)

For a movie filled with an ensemble cast of the who's who of Malayalam cinema, what occupies our mind as we leave the theatre is not one acting performance or one standout scene, but a heady mix of dread and hope, with the latter in some extra doses.
