The only irritating part is the intermittent threats issued by the friends to Rani's bava, a dentist who wants to marry her. Rani's grandmother also tickles your funny bone while talking of caste and age.(more)

Old School romance
Raja Vaaru Rani Garu is an authentic village drama that has decent romantic and fun moments. The old school romance has been narrated well but is very slow and one needs a lot of patience to enjoy it especially in the second half. If you are the one who loves old school storytelling, give this film a shot and the rest can watch it when it is aired on TV.(more)

The film comes with a wafer-thin storyline. Story development goes for a toss. At least one major character is not fleshed out. The proceedings lack believability in the second half of the first half. Cliches visit us in the second half and there is no respite after a point. Poetic love story
Raja Varu Rani Garu is set in the rural backdrop and it is a story of pure souls. It's a love story of a shy guy who doesn't tell his feelings to his lover. The plus points of the film are scenes/camaraderie among three friends, family emotions and poetic treatment. On the flip side, narration is very slow, the pace never picks up and screenplay is flat. This film makes for a decent viewing if you don't mind the sluggish narration.(more)
