Dulquer Salmaan cannot charm his way out of this mess
Oru Yamandan Prema Katha has a good central theme. But, the filmmakers were unable to imagine a strong enough story to sustain the idea through the film's more than 150-minute run time. The writers' efforts to give easy solutions for complicated problems takes the fizz out of what otherwise could have been a decent film.(more)

The film revolves around the lives of Lallu and his friends
The film's heroines hardly have any space to perform in the film, which is an out-and-out DQ show. A Tollywood feel is squeezed into many sequences, without much effect. Bibin George could have been better used as a villain in the movie which stretches on to 2 hours 40 minutes. Exhaustion seeps in at times, especially during songs and long stunts.(more)

A clean entertainer...
Oru Yamandan Premakadha' might sound similar to 'Oru Adaar Love', but the display of endearment seems to be missing unlike the titles. One cannot definitely compare the two as 'Oru Yamandan Premakadhais a fun-filled ride. Leave aside the 'superlative' love story, the focus here is on a young man who is filled with love and compassion for others. (more)
