Suryakantham starts out with such potential, it's a shame it turns into such a sob-fest.
Rahul Vijay as Abhi seems to have improved from his previous film and brings honesty to his character. Perlene as Pooja is surprisingly good, holding her own in this madcap tale. If only Pranith paid as much attention to the story and the plot points too as he did to the characters, because how he moves the story forward is nowhere near as interesting as these characters are. Sacrifice for Love
Suryakantham is a better film when compared to Niharika's previous duds. She has improved a lot and carries the film with her decent performance. Story-wise, there is nothing new you will see here and the pace of the film is also slow. But there are a few feel-good moments in the love story which make the proceedings lively and impress the A center audience. Watch it only for them.(more)

A Predictable Affair
Suryakantham is a decent film from Niharika Konidela in compares to her other films. Story wise there is nothing new except for the few scenes here and there, those makes lively .A time pass film and goes well okay with a section people. Otherwise nothing much to talk about. Overall, it is an average affair.You may give it a shot if you have nothing to pass time in the weekends.(more)
