Some preaching, some family drama, some humour and Sailaja Reddy Alludu plays safe for a festive release.

Promising films end well, that's where things don't fall in place for Sailaja Reddy Alludu. While a hat-tip to the 90s cinema is okay, the director is often stuck in the other era. The pre-climax fight is ill-timed and just when you expect curtains to be down, there's another marriage number. Gopi Sundar's music deserved better situational value. Naga Chaitanya shows restraint in the need of the hour although he could do more with his on-screen ease. Anu Emmanuel plays the quintessential damsel-in-distress part to the hilt. Tale of egos

Sailajareddy Alludu is a strictly average family drama which has decent moments here and there. Lack of good entertainment and necessary emotions are basic drawbacks which take down the proceedings a bit. The film becomes watchable because of the promising star cast and Chay proves his worth as a complete actor with his performance. There is nothing new that you will see but as it is the festive season, you can give this film a shot for time pass sake and watch it with low expectations.(more)

Disorder Alludu

All in all Sailaja Reddy Alludu disappoints with routine and dull narration. The film does provide some laughs, but nothing to rave about.(more)

This Naga Chaitanya film is a snooze fest

Shailaja Reddy Alludu would have been a complete washout if not for some energetic performances by Ramya Krishnan as Shailaja Reddy, Vennela Kishore as Chari and Murali as an egoistic millionaire. After a point, Anu is reduced to a breathing mannequin, while Chaitanya gets to utter a massive amount of speaking lines. Nearly 10 years in the industry, and still Chaitanya appears to feel awkward facing the camera. He even bungles up slow motion walks! Come on, thats the easiest part of acting.(more)
