Bromantic Comedy

Deva Das is a passable multi starrer which becomes watchable only because of Nagarjuna and Nani's screen presence. Story wise, there is nothing new and the first half is also ordinary. But things change from the second part as the good dose of emotions and decent narration makes things interesting. All you need is to keep your expectations in check and enjoy Nani and Nag's unique bromance unfold on screen.(more)

Some cracking humour and top-notch performances from the lead pair, the Deva and Das show is thoroughly entertaining

Devadas certainly has its moments with some cracking humour and solid performances by its two stars. A tad too long, with some avoidable melodrama and a weak climax prove to be troublesome, but it doesn't take it away from a hilarious first half which makes it worth your while. If you're somebody who enjoys Nani's brand of humour -Devadas is a must-watch.(more)

Nagarjuna, Nani's bromance is a delight to watch in an otherwise flawed drama

evadas doesn't try to aim too high. It clearly knows that its biggest strength is the banter between the lead actors, and a message that you can become a better version of yourself. And it sticks to these two aspects for most part of the film. In the end, did the film blow my mind? Absolutely not. But I'll still remember the light-hearted conversations between Nani and Nagarjuna, and how they laughed together, opened up to each other, and became BFFs. It's entertaining when it sticks to what it truly wants to say, and it's all over the place when it tries to glorify the backdrop it is set in.(more)

Nani and Nagarjuna bromance is adorable but not the film

Devadas could have been another Oopiri had Sriram Adittya structured the film in a better manner. Sometimes it gets tiring to watch, the climax leaves you with a smile on your face.(more)

Nani shines in this film

Nani is the only saving grace in Devadas. The actor gets into the skin of the character and gives his best to the make the lousy writing tolerable.(more)

Passable Bromance

Nagarjuna is absolutely fit and does some stunts to show off his agility at the age of 59, giving the younger stars of today serious fitness goals. Nani is role-perfect to say the least. Together they make the film completely watchable even during some rather dull scenes. Thankfully, after filling in dialogues and sequences to highlight the underlying message of the film, the director takes a sharp u-turn and ends the film in predictable, but true entertainer-style.(more)
