What good is a thriller that's not thrilling? It gets worse when you start laughing at a mystery movie.

As the film moves on, the situations, the characters and the plot become more obnoxious. The suspense around the missing girl wears thin, with every passing scene. By the time the climax arrives, unravelling the mystery doesn't matter anymore. Writer-director Mukul Abhyankar's debut film is a half-baked thriller. With all its complexity he had a strong story at hand, but his vision and technique as a director doesn't supplement his creative abilities. The background score of the film is a tad bit loud while the editing is lacklustre.(more)

The Manoj Bajpayee and Tabu starrer is a shoddy mess

How do you create an alleged plot thats so witless? Did anyone involved with this enterprise even have a passing acquaintance with pace? Annu Kapoor shows up as a local sleuth, and is made to mangle stock French phrases like 'merci'. By the end of it, we are the ones begging for mercy.(more)

Missing isn't a spellbinding thriller, but it has its moments. Your exposure to world cinema and well-made thrillers will decide whether you would enjoy it or not. Nonetheless, a genuine effort on part of the debutant director Mukul Abhyankar.(more)
