Hello Guru Prema Kosame is a clean entertainer that may not surprise you much but gives a good reason to hit theatres for the festival holidays

Anupama holds her own despite being in a script that mostly explores the male pysche and shows she can groove well too. Pranitha was never known her meaty parts in the past and her miniscule role in Hello Guru.. too doesn't help her case. Devi Sri Prasad's music that seemed underwhelming prior to the film's release works better on-screen, most songs are visualised and executed well. Trinadha Rao Nakkina, the director delivers a clean entertainer that may not surprise you much but gives a good reason to hit theatres for the festival holidays.(more)

Ram Pothineni-starrer is a tiresome, male-centric take on romance

The film's first half starts on an entertaining note, but the trouble starts brewing once the writer and director find the key conflict. In a love story, can a girl's father be also the guy's friend? If so, which side would he choose? If this was the whole point of the film, we barely see the moral dilemma that Prakash Raj's character ought to go through at least in some sequences. Instead, he falls for all the 'logics' that Ram throws at him, and that's the problem with Hello Guru Prema Kosame. It has a lot to say, without emotional baggage. And in the absence of the magic of love, the film resembles a maze built with lots and lots of words. It's a disappointing film, not just in terms of how it unfolds, but also how it forgets that love stories need a lot more magic to work.(more)

Simple and Breezy

When it comes to romantic drama's the stories are mostly one and the same. But if they are narrated in an entertaining format, things work most of the time. The same happens with Hello Guru Prema Kosame as the director has made the film with good fun and enjoyable elements throughout. Barring the predictable emotions and routine climax, this film has clean entertainment that will click with the audience during this festive season. Go for it.(more)

Routine Prema Guru

"Hello Guru Prema Kosame" is typical entertainer that has some fun moments but routine story, lethargic narration in the second half don't work at all. The two halves of the movie are different, while first half is time pass, second half is tedious. (more)
