Nanu Ki Jaanu

'Nanu Ki Jaanu' brings together Abhay Deol and Manu Rishi in a similar setting after 'Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!' where both play North Indian conmen.

The only reason that the movie is bearable in the first half is because it is a comedy. But when it turns into a whodunit in the second half and a new emotional angle is introduced, it falls completely flat. Neither the performances nor an ever changing storyline, where newer characters are introduced, help pick it up. An anticlimactic, emotional ending further seals the fate of this film.(more)

Abhay Deo's bizarre ghost story is dull

Nanu Ki Jaanu is 132-minute of convoluted chaos. Some talented actors are wasted and some are given a free run to waste their talent. This is certainly not what we expected.(more)

Abhay Deol is uninspired at best in this loosely handled, low-IQ mess

The crux of this entire affair is that Nanu Ki Jaanu is unsure of what it wants to be, the team lacks the ability to make it everything they want it to be, and the film therefore ends up flailing its arms all over the place. It is scary in a few parts and funny in more, which is why it is so sad that in the overall assessment and especially in its finale, it turns out to be such a loosely handled, low-IQ mess.(more)

Ghostly love story goes haywire

Nanu Ki Jaanu is simply a misconceived film which holds no fun, surprises and entertainment. The film seems to have no purpose. If you have your bets on a bad film, it is a clear winner!(more)
