This Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer is a popcorn entertainer
The film has good scope for comedy and who better than Brahmanandam to take the lead. As silly as some of the portion with him come across, theyre still entertaining and lighten the mood of an otherwise loud and serious film.(more)

Masala mix works right
Good music, humour, adequate punchlines and pelvic thrusts, the familiar popcorn feels tastier during Sankranti.(more)

he Balakrishna and Nayanthara starrer is old wine in a new bottle
Balakrishna gets to romance three heroines in the film, including Nayanthara, Natasha Doshi and Hariprriya. Compared to other two, Nayanthara has a slightly stronger character in this hero-worshipping film. Prakash Raj, who plays Nayanthara's father with grey hair and geeky glasses, looks far younger and fitter than Balakrishna. Jai Simha is old wine in a new bottle. Do yourself a favour, sit this one out.(more)

For Balayya Fans
Jai Simha is a typical mass masala entertainer in true Balakrishna style. The added advantage of the film is the emotional angle during the climax. The film is clearly aimed at the masses and will do well with all Balakrishna fans. But the roller coaster effect of the film can get to the regular audience at times. If you are the one who does not mind the regular commercial narration, this film ends up as a one time watch this festival season.(more)

Boring and Stale
"Jai Simha" is as predictable as any mass movie, as old fashioned as the movies archaic storyline, and the narration is as clichd as K S Ravikumar's recent movies.(more)
