This film will find an appeal with the younger generations who can relate to the discussions and dilemmas of these veeres.

The best part of Director's Shashanka Ghosh's 'Veere Di Wedding' is the vibe that these veeres share and their conversational chemistry. They are like any four millennial girls who live their life carefree. But what the story could have done with is a little more depth in each character, which would make the audience feel for them.(more)

Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor And The Girls Have A Blast

Veere Di Wedding gets this fantastic bond right, and gives us four dramatically different kinds of women with agency and spirit. Nobody stands in the way of their decisions. Some girls will always choose to argue, just as some mothers will always choose to harangue. We haven't seen these ladies on screen before, and they will serve as an awakening. India could do with an alarm call. Sometimes we need a movie to tell us what an orgasm means.(more)

Superficial, sassy, celebration of sisterhood

Kareena's restraint around the wedding hysteria bubbling around her, Sonam's airheaded optimism, Swara's crackling profanity and comfort for innuendoes and Shikha's talent for naughty wit comes together to say it's not a big deal for women to talk and do as they please. If only Veere Di Wedding actually believed it too.(more)

Kareena Kapoor Khan & Gang Is Entertaining With A But

All said and done, Veere Di Wedding is entertaining but only in parts. Good looking people reveal their messed up life & it might find a connect but with a very limited range of audience. Kareena Kapoor Khan has looked like a million dollars!(more)

Unapologetic and brash, this film delivers a knockout punch with its all girl ensemble cast

Veere Di Wedding is unapologetic and brash in its message that women can have as much fun as men, if not maybe a little more! Watch it for the all girl ensemble cast that delivers a knockout punch with their performance.(more)

VEERE DI WEDDING has a bold theme that defies stereotypes and delivers a shock value.

VEERE DI WEDDING rests on a great idea and interesting characters. But it doesn't translate into a fully entertaining fare. It's the direction that plays spoilsport. The execution is very shaky and it hampers the impact. The introduction of the characters is nice and the marriage prep sequence is the most relatable. Post interval, the Thailand sequence stands out. The climax should have been a highpoint but sadly that doesn't happen(more)

VDW is an easy breezy one time watch. If you are a fan of happy (convenient) endings, then this popcorn entertainment is your dose for the weekend.(more)

Only a fashion statement, rest is noise

Veere Di Wedding emphasizes on the need to make mistakes and learn from them. The makers are guilty of not following the diktat.(more)

Kareena, Sonam, Swara, Shikha play relatable non-conformists in a fun buddy flick

In Veere Di Wedding he proves yet again his ability to tell sensible, engaging stories about women without being painfully self-conscious about his sensitivity or their gender, without elevating female characters to devi status, but presenting them to the world as they/we are, as human beings, good and bad, with the ability to laugh our heads off even as we deal with the multiple challenges this damned male-dominated world and our own failings throw at us.(more)

It is Largely Contrived and Forgettable

But these are small pleasures in a two-hour film that frequently feels like a fashion spread sprung to life. I had faint memories of Veere Di Wedding just hours after watching the film because it's largely contrived and forgettable. I'm going with a generous two out of five. It's an opportunity missed.(more)

Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor film offers style but no soul

Veere Di Wedding also tries to subvert the male dominant stereotype but these moments are so few and far between that you almost miss the point. It may be a buddy comedy but it is not among the best in the genre, not even top five.(more)
