Clean Family Entertainer
Mahanubhavudu is a good and clean family entertainer which has some very entertaining moments throughout. The unique concept of OCD and the fun generated through it will click with every section of the audience. Apart from the concept, rest of the story is old school and the film has a bit slow first half. If you ignore these aspects, Mahanubhavudu will be a perfect choice among the festival releases and ends up as a happy watch with your entire family. Go book your tickets.(more)

Clean entertainer
OCD characterization is a twin-edged blade. It gives a new flavor for characterization and entertainment. But thwarts you in screenplay section as story is simple with no scope for twists. Hence you can see highly entertaining scenes followed by a few dull episodes. High tempo narration followed by lull. This also make the story and character travel highly predictable. But the director made film appeals to everybody with a nice sprinkle of entertainment. Climax of the film is a bit of let down. If you are expecting hygienic fun, here is a �clean� film for you. Mahanubhavudu will definitely make you conscious when you go to public restrooms in the interval. You may watch it (this recommendation comes with a disclaimer that this film is nowhere close to Bhale Bhale Magadivoy in terms of entertainment and engaging scale)!(more)

Sharwanand, Maruthi's film is bang for the buck
The transformation of Maruthi - from banking heavily on dialogues laced with double entendres to a director who delivers clean family entertainers - has already been well-documented; and Mahanubhavudu is yet another feather in his cap which shows how humour comes to him so naturally. There isn�t a single odd scene in the film. Yes, it takes its time to get the rhythm right, but at no point does Maruthi digress too much from what he wants to say. This is what makes the film such a fun ride. It has its heart in the right place and it is bang for the buck right till the end. Two big thumbs up for the film.(more)
