The Search Of A Ring Or Something More?

The film has fantastic visuals, K.U.Mohanans cinematography doing great justice to the lovely locations in Europe. Imtiaz Alis films have always worked in terms of the music and in case of JHMS too thankfully the track record continues. The songs by Pritam (except for the catchyPhurrwhich is composed by Diplo) have turned out well, easily one of the highlights of the film. At a run time of 144 minutes JHMS thankfully is not a lengthy tale and it does not test your patience. But if only the second half had more meat the film would have left a better impression on the mind of the viewers as it ends. (more)

Movie Review

Imtiaz Ali's story is weak and gives a vu of some of the prominent love stories of Shah Rukh Khan. Imtiaz Ali's screenplay is faulty and rather inconsistent. Some sequences are deftly handled and bring out the emotions. Watch out for the sequence where Harry innocently asks Sejal for a hug. (more)

Nothing but a free trip to Europe

Imtiaz is a brilliant storyteller, but he seems to be detached with his characters in this one. Travel and self-discovery are the core issues of his films. Even his repetition of the storytelling has been ignored each time, but his latest offering has nothing to offer. Still you will be reminded of all his previous films. Being a Shah Rukh Khan film, you will also be reminded of Chalte Chalte.(more)

Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma's Film Riddled With Toe-Curling Mush

Jab Harry Met Sejal for hardcore SRK fans, but those moments come only in fits and starts as he dons the persona of the footloose Harindar 'Harry' Singh Nehra, who makes no bones about his womanizing tendencies. He even brags shamelessly about his amorous conquests while admitting to the many ways he's got into trouble owing to his rampaging libido. He is a superficially charming man all right, but he isn't particularly likeable.(more)

Jab Harry Met Sejal, Shah Rukh Khan delivered a hat-trick of flops

Jab Harry Met Sejal is predictable to the T like most Bollywood movies are. Yet, some manage to entertain. Not this one. Tour guide Harry (Shah Rukh Khan) makes a living by tagging along with Indian groups on holiday in Europe. He clicks photos for them and hopes to find that elusive something that he is missing. What is this 'kami'? By the time director Imtiaz Ali and his lead actor gives us the answer, we are fast asleep in our seats.(more)

Movie Review

his film watchable though is the presence of Shah Rukh and Anushka both of who are in top-form in their Punjabi and Gujarati impersonations. In fact, SRK is like old wine, the more he matures, the better he romances. Boy, when he seals it with a kiss, hes irresistible!(more)

Shah Rukh Khan-Anushka Sharma are too hot for this pakau disaster

As Harry and Sejal wade through philosophical bullshit about finding oneself, finding the one you are meant to be with and so on, Jab Harry Met Sejal gets more exasperating with each passing minute. There is a fantastic Indian word for pretentious art of this kind: pakau.(more)

Shah Rukh Khan revisits old haunts, drags Anushka along

Shah Rukh Khan gets our hopes high in the beginning when we witness dimensions of his character, but that eventful moment doesnt last long and he gets back to playing to the gallery. He makes sure nobody misses those folded hands and slightly slanted forhead. Talk about the burden of being a superstar!(more)
