This Rana Daggubati film is a missed opportunity
Kajal Aggarwal has delivered a convincing performance in the given role. While Catherine Tresa as Devika Rani, an owner of a news channel, is not explored to her full potential. Her role is meant to add scandal to this political drama. But, again Teja's reservations has kept him from taking that character to a logical end.(more)

Rana Daggubati, Kajal shine in this riveting political drama
Teja is back with a bang and he gives us a well-crafted story that delves into several themes like love, redemption and revenge. It's been a while since a story, which spans for a period of more than five years, has been narrated with so much conviction. And for that alone, Nene Raju Nene Mantri deserves our attention. They don't make films like these anymore. Thumbs up for this drama - It's time to put a big garland on Rana and Kajal's cut-out.(more)

A Rana Daggubati show all the way
Nenu Raju Nene Mantri is about the rise, fall and redemption of Rana's character, Jogendra. As a politician, Rana is menacing, and his transformation is very well captured. The film is based on the philosophies of legendary actor-politician MGR, and Teja has very competently written Rana's character keeping the image of the yesteryear star in mind.(more)

Curious case of Jogendra
This is an interesting film that merits discussion, even if it doesn't sweep you off your feet. If only the later segments were as sharp as the earlier ones. The many slow motion walks and witty lines don't conceal the pitfalls.(more)
