Nani, Bhumika, Sai Pallavi breathe life into an unimaginative film

MCA is not a bad film, but it also leaves you with a feeling that it could have been a lot more. In another era, a similar plotline, of a guy wanting to save a girl from the clutches of a villain, formed the basis of Mahesh Babu's Okkadu. MCA doesn't venture into the same arena, because its protagonist doesn't think he's a hero. By the time he realises that he's one and does everything to save the one whom he begins to admire, it feels like watching two different films because the tone changes quite drastically.(more)

Nani's Show

MCA is a routine commercial entertainer which does not have any novelty story wise. But it is Nani's who leads from the front and makes things interesting. His comedy, angry avatar in the second half holds things together and saves the film from going haywire. If you ignore the predictable proceedings, Nani makes sure that MCA ends up as a one time watch this weekend.(more)

Nani-Sai Pallavi's chemistry salvages Middle Class Abbayi

Venu has banked heavily on the charming performances of Nani and Pallavi to make MCA click with the audience, as his writing is unambitious and mostly filled with clichs like his idea of middle class.(more)

NOT A Must Watch!

The first half of the movie is sure to provide some good relief and entertainment while the second half is not quite appealing and engaging. Go for it if you have some free time and thrive for some entertainment as the MCA is not a must watch flick. (more)

Too much happens too soon in this Nani and Sai Pallavi starrer

When we look at the film as a whole, it is like a lot of interesting things were shot and stitched together haphazardly. Maybe, only focusing on middle class Abhayi's love life would have made it better. One can't fault the actors in this case, and in fact it is Nani's comic timing and Sai Pallavi's fresh appeal that made this film tolerable.(more)
