Action clicks content fails

Saaho surely does not live up to all the expectations and hype laid upon it. Prabhas leads from the front and the action part is very good. But all this only comes in the last half an hour. Rest of the film has an improper screenplay and confuses the audience. Sujeeth's inexperience takes the film down in many areas. The real test for the film will start once the long weekend is over. Fans of Prabhas will like the film but all those who are watching this film need to lower your expectations completely as Saaho does not have the adrenaline pumping moments which the makers and promos boasted off.(more)

Prabhas tries hard in a film that is too silly to realise its ambitions

Saaho, in short, ends up as a film that never quite makes the intended impact in spite showing promise.(more)

Saaho is a missed opportunity with a juvenile narrative and weak story line.

You can also see how the story, despite being predictable, might have sounded good on paper, but the many twists and turns just leave you exhausted than excited. Saaho is an attempt at reinventing a story as old as time, if only the numerous 'bangs' managed to land. (more)

Prabhas, Shraddha Kapoor's action drama aims high, but goes completely haywire

No amount of stunts and gun fights help the film to camouflage its flaws, and the screenplay itself is so boring that you are never engrossed. The drama is non-existent. All we get is a black box which we wish had never opened. Because the anticipation to watch Saaho was more worth the effort than the film itself. A big thumbs down.(more)

The Sum Total Of Prabhas, Shraddha Kapoor's Film Is Zilch

Saaho may, like so many other shrill, gory actioners of the recent past, end up make pots of money. But that will not take away from the fact that it is egregiously turgid. A Telugu superstar attempting to break into Hindi cinema should have chosen better.(more)

Boring Action Thriller That Keeps Chasing Its Own Tail

This shameless geographical manipulation which isn't the same as creative liberty concludes such an elaborately constructed shot with a careless whimper. (more)

Extravagant, illogical and sluggish - a wasted opportunity!

The action sequences have been sleekly shot but at times just go on for way too long and there seems to be no logic behind most of them. Actually, logic seems to go for a toss, in most places. The songs are an entirely different story altogether. Though a couple of the songs are good, they are too many and very poorly placed in the movie's proceedings. The BGM is good but seems to be overpowering in quite a few places, especially the action sequences. The editing could have been far better and the overall length of the movie needs to be reduced by quite a lot. At a run-time of 2 hours and 51 minutes, Saaho is definitely sluggish.(more)

An unbearable watch!

Saaho is an unbearable watch, and even Prabhas fans are sure to be sorely disappointed. Though released with plenty of hype and hope, it falls short of all expectations. This is easily one of the worst movies in recent times and sure to be an irredeemable loss to the makers, cast and crew of the film.(more)

Saaho Review

Saaho unveils too many characters and two consequential twists. It is helped by breathtaking visuals in bits and pieces. However, at its core, it's a bloated film that fails to manifest its potential. The storyline holds promise but the story-telling is topsy-turvy. The screenplay should have done away with those smoking and drinking scenes in the least and presented imaginative villainism that values creative lines, not outdated deliveries. You spend Rs 250 Cr and give us routine-talking baddies and a hero of too few words? Not done.(more)

Saaho's pioneering attempts in stunt sequences and graphics are praiseworthy. However, the story misses to naturally engage the audience

Saaho is well-directed with higher production values. Overall, Saaho is that kind of film where you wish you had a forward button, so that you can just watch the action set pieces and skip what's in-between.(more)
