Cinematography by Prakash Velayudhan brings to life the spirits embedded in the colleges of the 70s and the present with ease. The revolutionary soundtrack by Manikandan illustrates the true essence of the movie. Oru Mexican Aparatha has a very gripping second half compared to the less impressive first half.(more)

A gripping political thriller Go for it, this one is a gem

Oru Mexican Aparatha smartly uses the popular elements from the campuses and also from the activities of some of the student political outfits, invoking nostalgia. It may be a far from being a perfect film but it's a treat if you are true blue Malayalee and an added bonus if you are a leftist. Go for it, this one is a gem.(more)
