Script falls short of passing marks

What works in Nirmala Convents favour though is the fresh new leads Samuel or Sam (Roshan Meka) and Shanti (Shriya Sharma). The duo makes the most of the script and has a great chemistry together. The supporting characters in the boy and girls gangs also have some great potential and the lone comic warrior Thagubothu Ramesh, a perpetual drunkard, easily manages to steal the show. The songs and the background scores are also settling and music director Roshan Saluri manages to live up to the standards set by his father, Koti. AR Ameen and Nags songs also got hoots from the audience.(more)

Simple and Decent

Nirmala Convent is a perfect launch pad for Roshan Srikanth. The young hero shines in his role and surely has a rocking future ahead. The film also has some decent moments and moves at a simple pace. If you ignore the slow first half and predictable nature of the film, you can give this film a shot for its innocence and Nags cameo.(more)

Outdated Syllabus!

The major issue in this teenage love story is the predictability. Right from the beginning we know what happens next that he falls in love with her, her parents oppose, etc. We also can easily guess he would win the competition in Nagarjunas program. There are no nail-baiting moments, which are essential for a thread like this, in the Nagarjunas episode either. All in all, except couple of scenes, the cute pair of Roshan and Shriya Sharma, the movie doesnt interest us. Totally old style of movie.(more)

Teenage love and message-telling

The film lives up to its image of a teenage love story. Although predictable, certain commercial elements could work for sections of audiences.(more)
