Salman Khan on a horse is far more lethal than ISIS

Tiger Zinda Hai does everything you thought it would. From establishing India-Pakistan friendship to proving the secular credentials of our daredevil agent, you witness everything. The good thing is everything happens fast. Tiger Zinda Hai is 161-minute long and a slow pace could have completely ruined the film.(more)

This Tiger is alive and kicking

the storyline needed to be far more compelling and the editing much tauter. Needless to add, a lot of sequences defy logic, but at the same time, there are many moments that will leave Salman Khan and action film fans impressed. Whether Tiger is Zinda or not for the next round, that's for you to find out.(more)

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif play parents on national duty

Tiger this time has a few good men at his disposal but Khan doesn't pass off as the most active and dangerous agent out there. In fact it's Zoya who comes across as the wonder woman, one present at the right place at the right time, doing all the hard work. As the 30-minute climax unfolds, a lot of it in slo-mo, Zafar has achieved the impossible. sex slaves have been freed, a child soldier is rescued, there's minimum casualty and ISC is no more. What's left? World peace? Which is why this too ends on an open note. Because if history has taught us anything, it's that man's need to cause harm and people's appetite for Salman Khan are unlikely to change.(more)

This Tiger is funny.

Bhaigiri, nationalism, terrorism, the tricolour and a joint mission with the ISI and RAW is all served with humour, masala and plenty of action.(more)

Salman, Katrina deliver fun with equal parts swag, silliness and schmaltz

Tiger Zinda Hai is not a film that is meant to be taken too seriously. I mean c'mon, Salman/Tiger takes off his shirt for no reason at all to give ISC/ISIS and us a generous view of his fabulously toned and oiled torso and arms in a scene that does not even bother to offer a logical excuse for his shirtlessness.(more)

Salman Khan Is Alive And Kicking In A Film That Is Too Long

This is not a bad film. Director Ali Abbas Zafar is clearly keen on crossborder camaraderie, and there are some nice warm touches in that direction, especially when the officers from both countries find themselves sharing guns, or making fun of that handpump film. The problem, as I mentioned earlier, is that this alliance should have taken place just before the climax so both countries could play hero and wrap things up, instead of giving us eighty more very long minutes. At an exhausting two hours and forty minutes, I really don't care if Tiger is alive or a vegetable - whether he's Zinda or Tinda, really - but this film needed to be much tighter.(more)
