This Family Tale Has been Seen Before
Overall Jomonte Suvishengal is definitely watchable thanks to Mukesh and Dulquer Salmaan as well as a reasonably engaging first half. However it�s disappointing to see Sathyan Anthikkad coming up with a clone of Jacobinte Swargarajyam, he is way better than this for sure.(more)

Dulquer Salmaan�s charming appeal fails to save this predictable mess
Jomonte Suvishesangal is certainly a disappointment, especially as it comes from the vision of Sathyan Anthikad, many of whose movies are my favourites. Dulquer Salmaan�s youth appeal may bring in the crowds, and certain portions of him with Mukesh may be touching at times. But the lack of strong narrative and a cliched, predictable storyline will turn you off.(more)

Jomonte Suvisheshangal was stalled for so long and it didn�t reach the audience during Christmas as planned. The Malayalam film industry, however, has flagged off the new year with a charming family entertainer.(more)

Jomonte Suvisheshangal dissipates into ordinariness. It is left to Dulquer Salmaan and Mukesh to rescue this overly thin film. (Note of caution for viewers who understand only Malayalam: the Tamil dialogues in Jomonte Suvisheshangal were not accompanied by subtitles in the hall where I watched it.)(more)
