Colour Me Pink India!
Pink is a powerful statement on the existing feudal mindset of a majority of India, where men and women are judged by a different yardstick. And if the man happens to be from a powerful family, then the fight for justice is even more skewed.(more)

No fake feminism here, Amitabh Bachchan's courtroom drama is hard hitting and extremely engaging!
The last scene in the movie is bound to give you the chills. This is Bengali film director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury's Bollywood debut and is produced by Shoojit Sircar. All in all, this is the Movie of the Year for me. I urge you to watch it with your family and friends.(more)

PINK is a compelling film which exposes hypocrisies and double standards against women in our society.
PINK is a compelling film which exposes hypocrisies and double standards against women in our society. With powerful performances from the starcast, the film leaves you shocked, stunned and speechless. At the Box Office, it will be patronised by the multiplex audiences and the positive word of mouth will translate into healthy footfalls for the movie. Don't miss this one as it hammers home a very powerful message.(more)

Pink is poignant and powerfully provocative.
Pink does have its moments where it digresses from the case just to teach a little moral science but I'd say thats permissible considering our thick-brained audience. It is a must-watch for everyone with a blurred vision for modern day women. (more)

Amitabh Bachchan is still the only boss around
This can be surprising for people who want a woman to fight on behalf of others, but then is there really a match for that devastating baritone and intimidating eyes? Bachchan gives it all and drives his points home with such force that you fall in love with him all over again. The masters complete dominance silences the courtroom and the audience. Dont be amazed if you start feeling uncomfortable and break into tears and claps.(more)

Gather everyone and go watch this film
Pink, perhaps called thus because the colour is girly, subverts it and turns it on its head. In its best bits, the film blazes, its call-to-arms radiating outwards and forcing us to acknowledge uncomfortable truths. It has something to say, and says it with courage and conviction. Gather everyone and go; and while you are at it, spread the word.(more)

The girls are alright, but the boys?
Pink is a relevant film, in a day and age when there are many such cases in the news, when attempts by women at seeking justice are often equated with vindictive litigation. Despite the fact that so many women don't even have recourse to justice, they are accused of misusing the law. And feminists are roundly dismissed as 'feminazis'. When one article upon another on a recent case (of alleged sexual assault) has been obfuscating reason and rationality in many of us (including yours truly), its good to have a film stating categorically, even if a trifle simplistically, that a no is a no is a no. That single working women are not a catch. That friendly girls are not promiscuous. That a shared drink doesn't mean a woman is available. That it all boils down to a woman's choice and consent.(more)

Amitabh Bachchan's POWERFUL message is unmissable
Pink pushes the envelope in Indian films in regard to discussion around morality, women's freedom of choice, etc., one can see Amitabh, the grand old patriarch of Hindi cinema, playing the sole voice of women's rights as regressive. But if not Amitabh, then who? Can one think of a more commanding voice and a more assertive personality than Amitabh Bachchan in Hindi cinema today, regardless of how many 'women-centric' films Kangana Ranaut has done? Pink is a giant leap, sure, but it can only leap so far. Keeping Pink as a starting point, future writer-directors should build on the foundation established by it to make more brave, more daring films on women's issues, where one day, not Amitabh Bachchan, but a woman can stand up and speak for herself and everyone will listen.(more)
