Take a ride on Marubhoomiyile Aana if keen to explore a breezy comic tale and some 'Sheikh'ing Biju Menon hoopla.
Marubhoomiyile Aana, a novel story, rides on the refreshing character of Biju Menon that extracts every dollop of humour possible while he is on screen. The actor looks dashing in his 'Arab' get up and eases through the role. The movie generously borrows from many much-loved classic humour scenes of various Malayalam films, but the characters entertainingly twist them to add on a lot more of laughter. What adds spice to the humorous proceedings are the occasional 'revelations' and sudden swerves taken by the story that catch the viewers by surprise. At the same time, it hardly has hooking humour moments, which if you go back to, gets funny every time. (more)

'Sheikh'en, not stirred...
Marubhoomiyile Aana is watchable if you have two hours to kill and nothing else to do. Oh, by the way, keeping with the custom of a VKP movie, it throws in references to at least half a dozen Malayalam films from Nadodikkattu to Premam to Maheshinte Prathikaram. But that does not change the fact that it's a passable fare. (more)
