Commercial & Message Film
Hyper is a typical masala entertainer which has some entertaining moments. The interesting narration, Ram and Rao Ramesh's confrontational scenes and a breezy first half are a huge assets. The film is bound to do well among the masses and the holiday season will surely help the film. If you ignore the slight glitches and predictable storyline during the second half, Hyper makes up for a decent watch this weekend.(more)

Formula, escapism, message
Hyper' is a formulaic film that follows the template of a few movies seen in recent past. The conflict point gives way to some non-serious ideas involving the media (the usual suspect). Thankfully, Ram and Rao Ramesh don't lose balance and emote appropriately (actually, they are allowed to emote appropriately).(more)

It's a family drama with all the entertainment you seek
"Hyper" does to drive home its message, the story itself doesn't quite stay with you after walking out of the cinema halls, except for its message. Maybe the purpose was just that is to give a good message in the form of an entertainer. And in that, the film succeeds to a good extent. Here, the objective is not to suck you into its world, but to remind you that a honest man is more brave than you can imagine. And his victory lies in our willingness to let him be and do his job with utmost sincerity.(more)

Over-dramatized scenarios and a wafer-thin story make Hyper skittery!
Ram does it all to lead the story. He jumps, dances, flies, bashes and breaks everything and anything around. Another neat performance from him, though with the kind of physique that he has, you know it is impossible to do what he does onscreen. He makes it up for it with his effortless dialogue delivery and unique mannerism. Raashi Khanna is the heroine of the film. Like mentioned before, Ram falling in love with her can never be answered logically, but nevertheless, if you take that cerebral thinking out of the equation, you might enjoy their love portion to an extent. Again, nothing new but not bad either.(more)

Neither Hyper-active, Nor Dull!
