Refreshing Romantic Comedy
Pelli Choopulu is one film which comes as a breath of fresh air in the heavy pollution of commercial cinema. The film has many beautiful moments which one can easily relate to. With this film, Tollywood finds another talent called Tharun Bhaskar as his effortless narration makes things breezy throughout the proceedings. The film is bound to do well in A centres, overseas and especially the younger generation will lap it big time. Finally, all those who want to watch a clean and feel good love story, Pelli Choopulu is one film which should not be missed.(more)

Refreshing Romantic Comedy. You may watch it!!
Short film directors have the knack of knowing what works with new generation. At the same time, most of them fall short when making a feature film as it's a different game altogether. That's why we see only few succeeding as feature filmmakers. Tharun Bhascker is one such a short film director who impresses you with his ability to hold your attention throughout the film. First half is thoroughly engaging and is hilarious. Second half is more emotional with a bit a humor sprinkled in. There is a bit of slowness in second half. On a whole, Pelli Choopulu is a refreshing romantic comedy. You may watch it!(more)

'Pelli Choopulu' is a first class entertainer.
The film mirrors the attitudes of elders and aspirations of youngsters without sounding preachy. Told in refreshing way by the debutant director. Relatable characters, natural conversations, fun and clean humour has made the movie quite an enjoyable watch. Nice romantic movie after a long time.(more)

Pellichoopulu feels like a perfect date movie and a trip worth taking
The story is predictable and it wobbles a bit in the second half, but it also filled me with a lot of hope that as long as films continue to be made, there'll be a lot more Tarun Bhasckers, Pellichoopulus. It gives me hope that there are more people out there who will make me yearn for more to come. It gives me a reason to make sense of my job and not give up. be waiting and I'm not afraid anymore. Till then, I shall float like a butterfly that's intoxicated by the aroma of flowers around it. The wind carries the aroma of petrichor. Because Pellichoopulu feels like that first rain after a long dry spell at the cinema halls. Two big thumbs up for the film. It�s a gem of a film which you shouldn't miss.(more)

Talented writing, talented execution
A mature rom-com that can entertain both youngsters and elders. Fine performances, neat dialogue, situational humour - you have everything. If the first half is breezy, the second half slows down. But it's a negative you can overlook because there is plenty of talented writing over there. Watch it.(more)

A gem of a film
From the d�cor of the houses to the interiors of the food truck, nothing looks fake. Many rom-coms make you laugh while in the cinema hall. Very few make an impact by portraying realistic characters. This falls in the second category. (more)

This film is a lot more.
Yes, it's inevitable that they'd fall in love eventually but that's not even the point here. This film is a lot more. They discuss societal pressures that makes parents want their daughter to get married, they talk about being responsible, there's discussion about believing in oneself and following dreams. But at no point does it turn into a sermon. (more)
