Critics Review

This is a scary, sadistic and trippy ride

No Bollywood-style revenge or anger, just pure sadism. Ramannas purity, despite his cruelty is spine-chilling, especially when juxtaposed with Raghavans uncontrolled violence.(more)

A difficult watch

Kaushal displays a lot of brave acting, including a terrific confrontation scene with his father (Vipin Sharma in a brief appearance). There is real good cinema in that scene towards the end of the film, and also a reminder that Kashyap has a lot of talent. He just needs to stop making films that are very similar.(more)

Movie Review

Raman Raghav 2.0 has delved beautifully into the intellect of a serial killer. Ramans fascinating descriptions of his delusions, his deranged thinking and his extra-casual approach towards murder are wonderful to witness. His fascination with the real Raman Raghav has been nicely embedded into the script, with subtle allusions to real life incidents that had transpired in the life of the notorious serial killer from Bombay(more)

Anurag Kashyap, Vicky, Nawaz take a bow

Raman Raghav 2.0 is layered, gripping from the word go, unnerving and, in a twisted way, hugely entertaining. It is also a stinging commentary on the times we live in.(more)

This is a scary, sadistic and trippy ride

Unlike Gangs of Wasseypur, there isnt anything light about Raman Raghav 2.0. This movie scares you with the threat that there are demonic tendencies in everyone. In true Anurag Kashyap style, there is no violence onscreen.(more)

Clear-cut, uncomplicated, a taut thriller

More than the story itself, it is the quirky telling that is the key. Structured around eight chapters, vividly shot in the slums, pulsating with raucous music, Raman Raghav 2.0 is taut thriller, full of energy and brimming over with tension. It doesnt flag even once and holds the viewer tightly in its grip. Such is the dizzying momentum and pace that you even stop caring about some missing pieces of the jigsaw that would have been niggling you. Clear-cut, uncomplicated Raman Raghav 2.0 takes you on an entertainment high.(more)

Raman Raghav 2.0 is a busy string of shots, with a cut every half a minute on an average.

Extending Kashyap's continuing probe into the horrors of dehumanisation, Raman Raghav 2.0 dives deeper into the cesspit than any of the director's earlier films - to deliver a dystopian study that is at once fascinating and nauseating. (more)
