A Promising Romantic Thriller Which Runs Out of Steam after a While
Gentleman starts well, remains engaging for a major part before crash landing beyond a certain point. It is a film which had potential and could have been way better, but considering that it has a couple of solid performances to boast off and is engrossing for a significant duration, it is enough to merit a watch at the cinemas.(more)

"The Perfect Popcorn Movie" !
The movie starts off well and has a 'bang' in Intermission. But the second half falls flat and every mystery which is revealed becomes highly predictable. Lots of cliches in second half spoil the party. Nani and Niveda have scored with their brilliant characterizations. Music was soothing and it raises tempo when needed. Cinematography was flawless. Had the director worked on the screenplay portion in second half, the movie would have been a lively product.(more)

Impressive Thriller
Gentleman is one of Nani�s best performances till date. Time and again, he is upping the ante by doing interesting projects and this film falls in the same league. Icing on the cake is Nivedha Thomas� brilliant performance and the suspense factor. The film will hold strongly especially in the A centres. Finally, if you manage the a slightly slow first half, Gentleman will entertain you decently with its thrills.(more)

A film that highly banks on its twists which however happen to be its weakest link!
Gentleman is the pace in which it travels especially in the latter half. It doesn't interest you so much as most scenes are very familiar to us. The love portion in the first half between Surabhi and Nani could satisfy a section of the audience who would want to see the lovable side of Nani. The pre-climax portion is the only better part of the film; it gives you a rush.(more)

Nani Steals The Show
�Gentleman� is a mixed bag. Surprising interval bang, some good suspense elements in the second half, comedy by Vennela Kishore and more importantly Nani�s performance have worked out well. But the movie also many issues like dull pace, not-so- interesting twist, predictable climax. All in all, �Gentelman� is a watchable movie for its second half and for Nani.(more)

Two big thumbs up for Gentleman
The film's only sort of a letdown is that it doesn't end with a bang. Although every piece of the puzzle is solved logically with clinical precision, the film doesn't leave you with a high probably because Mohan Krishna Indraganti reveals a key twist a little too early. This, however, is only a minor issue in a film which is one of the better-scripted thrillers in recent times. A film like this, in times like these, comes as a reminder that with the right casting and a sensible script, we don't have to leave our brains behind while watching the film. It's a film which makes us participate in the game spun by the writers and in the end, everyone is a winner.(more)
