Synopsis/Plot : Mohavalayamis the story of people who get trapped in strong desires and ambitions, in the backdrop of Bahrain. Prameela (Mythili) is a drama artist from a middle class town in Kerala. She is married to drama director Uthaman. In contrast to her dreams, her married life is not a happy one, but a life full of responsibilities. At a stage she has to completely dedicate her life to look after her husband and she reaches Bahrain for this purpose. In Bahrain she becomes a dancer at a night club and later owns it. There she gets many friends and the resulting incidents are plotted in Mohavalayam.

The film leaves a lot to be desired.

What saves the film from turning into an utter disaster are extraordinary performances by some actors and well-etched characters. Joy Mathew seems to be living every bit of his character and portrays the range of emotions of a man trapped in a one-way love affair effortlessly. (more)
