A grounded and humane cop flick that pleasantly surprises you
The film humanises the protagonist and he can only do so much with his limited powers. Even in the scene where Biju delivers a speech in a school he hardly raises his voice to accentuate the message. It is as calm as how you would talk to your neighbour. Most importantly, though this film is about Biju, it isn't only about him. Every character which appears in the film at any point is so well defined.(more)

Action Hero Biju is realistic
Action Hero Biju may lack the fire and brimstone of the police stories we have grown up watching, but surely it is a sincere effort to be different and realistic, which has to be acknowledged. (more)

Reinventing The Khakee!
Action Hero Biju is completely a director's film. Abrid Shine excellent craft is visible in each frame of the movie. The script, jointly written by Abrid and Muhammed Shafeeq, perfectly combines the commoner and heroic aspects of Biju. (more)

A brilliant ride with a police officer
Events just flow in the course of the narration and what stays is the protagonist. Life of a police officer is glorified through this movie in a realistic way. Biju is a person who stands with the truth and fight for it. He helps poor people and helpless people well with his logic and good mind. He is an hard hitting police for culprits and at the same time a good bro the next door woman. Nivin has done his best for the movie. Anu Emmanuel the lead heroine in the movie does not have much to do, though her screen presence is notable. (more)
