Actor Sunny Deol is still a lethal weapon

Ghayal Once Again picks up threads from where the original had left off (there are brief flashbacks to prove it), borrows a character from the previous film, and presents the same leading man as older and grizzled, but as filled with hurt and rage as before, doing what he did before: acting as a one-man army against the corrupt system. If you wanted to watch him thrash men with his Dhaai Kilo Ka Haat and scream Balwantrai ke kutton get set for disappointment

Ghayal Once Again comes no where close to the original. We know it is not the 90s anymore but the least that we could have asked for in this sequel was a few good punchlines. Sadly, the film borrows only two characters Ajay Mehra and Joe DSouza (Om Puri) and somehow both are not enough to save this film. (more)

Worthy of a watch. Because they don't make heroes like Ajay Mehra anymore.

Even in Ghayal, one of the reasons the film stood out was because of how the protagonist used his intelligence against the system. Even if they had to use the same formula in this one, it would've been enough. The whole climax of the hero bringing down a chopper into the villain's house is a bit too much, especially when the VFX is also not up to the mark. There are also a few edit jerks in the film that could've been avoided.(more)

Ghayal Once Again at your own risk and only if you can withstand the relentless onslaught it unleashes.

Ghayal Once Again is a rather tame affair that banks on the interventions of Hollywood action coordinator Dan Bradley (credited as second unit director) to whip up some excitement. The primarily result is a protracted chase sequence in which Ajay Mehra's truth-seeking 'missionaries' are pitted against Raj Bansal's murderous 'mercenaries'. The dash begins on one side of the interval and continues well into the second half. The tussle is over a hard disk that has a recording of a murder committed by the hot-headed Bansal scion.(more)
