Rajeev Ravi's directorial debut Annayum Rasoolum is worth an applauding.

Shine and Aashiq prove to be scene stealers whenever they appear. Ranjith, who makes a brief appearance as the estranged father of Rasool and Hyder, also makes his mark; he is one of the much-hyped five film directors making an appearance in this movie.Annayum Rasoolum is a chain of interesting moments woven into the thread of a love story. It offers hope that cameraman Rajeev Ravi is a director to watch out for in the future.(more)

More realistic

A perfect casting and synchronised sound recording make the movie more realistic. Three directors act in the movie; Ranjith as Rasool�s hapless father, Ashique Abu as brother Hyder and Joy Mathew who had acted in John Abraham�s classic Ammaye Ariyan, as Anna�s father. Hyder, who works on a ferry that connects Vypeen Island with the main land, is denied visa to his dream land. (more)
