Female-oriented movie

Relationships are the movie's essence. Lal Jose and scribe R. Venugopal has looked at certain man-woman relationships that defies definitions and the story unravels, trying to slot and the mess and given them a defined boundary while stressing that passion is a complicated thing. Viewers can feel divided about the kind of impact such a movie may bring upon.many may find the second half dull, with the addictions of Neena being focused on.All in all 'Nee-Na' a watchable movie, conceived in a novel manner. This not a run of the mill kind of entertainer and should be enjoyed for what it is without any tags attached.(more)

Nee-na doesn't follow formulas and still wins attention; and that's its biggest strength.

Our movies have mostly portrayed aggressive romantic characters as villains with ulterior motives. Their wild, kinky ways give us reasons to loathe them further. Stylish, daring, alcoholic and tomboyish, the title character of Lal Jose's Nee-na is a woman who easily fits the stereotypical 'woh' in a pati-patni scenario, but the movie is not another thrilling tale of forbidden liaisons. It bares the mangled soul of its wily leading lady sensibly, while portraying the now-common extra marital complexities. (more)

Nee-Na may not be what you expect. But then, life is not all about laughs, right? Don't miss this one if you seriously love movies.

A love triangle ensues but this one is so real and subtle, quite unlike the loud ones that we usually come across in Malayalam.
