This is a movie with a high likeability quotient because it unearths the beauty in trifles.
Boys and invariably men just relish the labour of love - the pain it takes to woo a girl, her first glance which would send his pulse shooting like a meteor, her illusory smile that would freeze him as though in a photo frame. Perhaps the most wonderful trait of love is its inexhaustibility. One never gets tired of it, no matter how devastating the side effects. Alphonse Putharen weaves his new film 'Premam' mostly around the spontaneity of love, its freshness, the split second that shatters the vows hardened over years and sometimes its triviality, the aspect that enables someone to let go and move on.(more)

Alphonse Putheran proves that he has the knack of presenting themes that have blockbuster written all over.
It is to the credit of the director that he has made a film of more than two and half hours without the viewer feeling distracted or bored even for a single minute. The treatment of this serious subject is laden with humour and he shows that even the most depressing of situations can be overcome if we take them lightly.(more)

Alphonse Puthren, who has handled the script and direction, successfully brings out a perfect entertainer, with a very light yet interesting storyline and the perfect blend of comical elements. The director surely deserves a great applause for the courage and confidence he shows to choose the simple themes and different narrative patterns for his movies. (more)

Watch you must ! Watch it with someone you love
There are quite a few cliches in characterizations. Characterization you might have seen in other movies. But Alphonse, the director with his strong cast & crew overshadows those cliches with superlative film making. (more)

Superb Entertainer
Premam is all for some genuine fun and perhaps, a few nostalgic moments as well. It�s a lengthy ride for sure, but it will leave you wanting for more. Grab a box of popcorn and watch this one pronto! (more)

Alphonse Putharen, Nivin Pauly Deliver a Complete Entertainer
The movie is a laughter riot as well and two people who drive the comedy aspects of the movie are Vinay Forrt as lecturer and Soubin Sahir as PT master. Each scene of their's brings roars of laughter in the theatre. (more)
