Ala Ela is a kind of film which falls short of being a good film, but makes an okay watch!

First half of the film is nice. There are lull moments in the second half. But the climax is nice. There are many enjoyable satires on women (especially the housewives). Plus points are fresh taking, fun moments and male leads. On the flipside, second half is sluggish. Watch out for the director in the future. Ala Ela ends on a positive note which will bring a smile on your face and makes you yearn for more bromance.

Ala Ela is probably the most bromantic film to have come out from Tollywood in a long time and that's no mean feat. Rahul Ravindran, Vennela Kishore and Shaani, who played the three lead roles in the film, hit the ball out of the park with this 'onscreen chemistry' and it's a treat to watch the three of them indulge in one funny conversation after another. It is a small film with a big heart and despite its share of flaws the film is full of surprises.(more)

Feel-good rom-com

The film goes adrift at one point and one feels like asking 'ala ela?' when that avoidable item song sears its way into an otherwise sensible narration. If the performances are fine (after Rahul, it is Vennela Kishore who is second hero), the technical aspects go the whole hog in making this film an A-rated one. Right from cinematography to music to RR to editing, the films gets them all right. A feel-good rom-com with the right ingredients and a good climax that helps us forget the drift that infects the film in bits and pieces, 'Ala Ela?' is worth a watch.(more)

�Ala Ela� is an ok comedy entertainer. Dialogues and Vennela Kishore�s performance are the major highlights of the film. On the flip side, both the female leads and the first half of the film are huge let downs. If you are looking for some youthful tongue and cheek humor, you can give this film a shot. (more)
