It entertains!

First half of the film is average. Second half is entertaining. Plus points of the film are entertainment and screenplay in second half. On the flip side, it�s disheartening to see our writers sticking to the same pattern/formula of Dhee film since 2007. Brahmanandam adds more to this movie with his improvisation. On a whole, Loukyam works at box office due to an entertaining second half. You may watch it!(more)

Loukyam is funny in parts and makes no bones about what it's trying to achieve, despite the fact that it's treading on a wafer thin storyline.

Loukyam is yet another shining example of the ongoing trend that all that matters in a big budget film are a select few scenes which make you laugh. The story is so convoluted and mundane that the probability of a twist taking you by surprise is almost negligible. Although some of the gags are quite inventive, the film resembles a Looney Tunes show as its progresses. Loukyam is funny in parts and makes no bones about what it's trying to achieve, despite the fact that it's treading on a wafer thin storyline. (more)

All that glitters is not gold

It is apparent that Sriwaas wanted a slickly made conventional blockbuster, and therefore relies on a mixture of tried and inflexible elements the audience is known to respond to. There is routine script, routine plot, with no chemistry, only brazenness and a lot of it. It insults the viewer�s intelligence and is an example of the Telugu film industry�s reluctance to let go of timeworn storylines that were all a rage decade ago. But, yes if you want only entertainment without looking at any other aspect of movie-making, you can give it a shot. On the whole, this film proves the byword �All that glitters is not gold� absolutely right. LOUKYAM is a huge disappointment.(more)

Decent Family Entertainer

Loukyam is a decent entertainer with comedy working in major parts. Gopichand�s acting, hilarious comedy by Pruthvi and Brahmanandam in the second half are basic plus. On the flip side, even this film also suffers from the same tried and tested formula of the routine family entertainers. But who cares, Loukyam provides you the much needed fun and relief than the past few releases, and will nicely be lapped up by the family audience. (more)
