Watch it for Pulkit, Rajkummar and Varun! One Time Watch

Sonam Kapoor plays a looteri dulhan called Dolly who makes rich potential grooms fall in love with her, marry them and robs them the next morning. She with the help of Raju (Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub) cons many including Sonu Sehrawat (Rajkummar Rao) and Manjot (Varun Sharma) until she meets her old lover in the now rough-tough cop in Robin Singh (Pulkit Samrat). What happens next is the rest of the story. In all, its a good time pass as it wraps up within 100 minutes or so. Also, the three dulhas and the excellent supporting cast carrying the Doli could be given a watch.(more)

Watch this one for fun on the run. As long as you're not light-laugh-lactose intolerant.

Sonam plays the badass bahu with aplomb. From coy, to confident - she pulls it off with spunk. Rajkummar and Mohammed deliver a good act and Pulkit is decent. Varun, with his comical expressions and superb comic timing is the most hilarious character in the film. Archana Puran Singh as Varun's OTT mom is a riot.(more)

Fun as she may be, it's tough to fall for Sonam's 'lootera dulhan'

Kapoor has chosen a delightful, spirited character for herself. However, when she has to do things like say dialogue and arrange her beautiful face into expressions, the effect is about as natural as a plastic cuckoo in a cuckoo clock. This is a shame because Kapoor looks gorgeous in the film and it's easy to believe anyone would fall for that dazzling smile, so on paper, she's well-cast as Dolly. Fortunately for Kapoor, there's someone worse than her in the acting department: Pulkit Samrat, who plays Inspector Robin Singh, the Dabanng-inspired cop chasing Dolly. Samrat's face is pretty enough, but has no expression and he does a godawful Haryanvi accent that's all the more jarring because Rao's is pitch perfect. Finally, there's more chemistry in a sterilised glass of still water than between Dolly and Robin Singh, which is why the end hasty and half-baked as it may be is such a relief.(more)

Good performances make this film worth a watch

the problem with Dolly Ki Doli is that it does not give a plausible ending to the story. Dogra, who co-wrote Dolly Ki Doli with Uma Shankar Singh, did have an interesting plot -- the journey of a girl who takes on the bad world of men and the hypocrite institution of marriage. But why does she do it? That is exactly where Dogra's script fails. The reason, that unfolds after interval, is simply too pretentious. In fact, throughout the film, it is pretty difficult to identify with the character of Sonam. (more)

DOLLY KI DOLI is a stress buster that will make you smile as you'll leave the theatre.

olly is a compulsive bride-on-the-run aided by a motley group of crooks head-lighted by a grand mom who brings the house down especially in one scene in a police station. Dolly, better known as 'Looteri Dulhan' cons many cash-heavy grooms and their families but her dalliance with Sonu Sehrawat (Rajkummar Rao) and Manjot (Varun Sharma) is especially interesting. Then there's the unrequited love with tough cop Robin Singh. Also, there's a star cameo, which is Royal, literally. The climax has a quirky surprise factor that goes nicely with the irreverent humour of the film.(more)

Dolly Ki Doli is worth a ride!

Somewhere in its breezy 100 minutes duration, the film cooks up a fuzzy origins story about its looteri dulhan and none whatsoever of its gang members. Strangely, the ambiguous, unapologetic tone favours the overall whimsy narrative and its aversion to melodrama. Even if the concluding bit of the script could do with a couple more rewrites, I am glad Dogra doesnt cop out to accommodate an overnight change of personality. And that alone make Dolly Ki Doli worth a ride in my book.(more)
