Hawaa Hawaa is a story of the triumph of the human spirit; friendship and enjoying the journey of making one's dream come true.

Arjun (Partho Gupte) moves to the big city along with his mother and little sister. Out there he discovers a hidden world of in-line skating through coach Lucky, who mentors kids to become skating champions. While Arjun starts nursing the dream to learn skating under Lucky (Saqib Saleem), his four friends get together to make this dream come true for him. In this endearing story of hope and aspirations, will Arjun's dreams take flight?(more)

Hawaa Hawaai may sound unpromising and hackneyed

The young boy whose story Hawaa Hawaai is, as well as the four street children who stand by him come hell or high tide, are completely believable and affecting characters that grow on the audience as the film gets into its stride. Like he had done so effectively in Stanley Ka Dabba, Gupte works with a talented group of children and allows them to give free rein to their infectious exuberance and innocence. Hawaa Hawaai isn't however only about children, nor is it meant only for that segment of the audience. (more)

Drag every kid you care about to Hawaa Hawaai

Hawaa Hawaai is an earnest, important and evocative film, says Raja Sen. It is a rare and wondrous thing when students genuinely admire a teacher. I remember sniggering cruelly many years ago when my kid brother, extolling the virtues of one of those self-aggrandising heads of tuition institutes, resolutely referred to him as "Sir Vipin" instead of "Vipin Sir," convinced of his greatness and boardexam-beating power. Hawaa Hawaai is a heavy-handed tale

Hawaa Hawaai isnt entirely satisfying, I still recommend that you see it. It is a timely reminder of the intractable horrors that children in this country face on a daily basis. - (more)
