Hail the female.Revolver Rani is as real as comic book heroines can get.

Revolver Rani is a deeply satisfying tribute to many things at the same time. Director Sai Kabir (who has previously made an unreleased film) pays a hefty homage to many filmmakers like Anurag Kashyap, Quentin Tarantino, Mehboob Khan and Shekhar Kapoor. And yet for its derivative aspirations, Revolver Rani is a fiercely original piece of cinema, crafted with compelling concentration and impassioned intuition. The mayhem is meticulously executed. It serves as the evocative backdrop for the life of an outlawed bandit-politician.(more)

Revolver Rani's sly humour is fun

Revolver Rani establishes Kangana Ranaut as the most fearless actress in Bollywood. After winning our hearts as the achingly nave dumped bride in Queen, she does a 360-degree flip in this film. As the psychotic, murderous, sexually ravenous dacoit turned politician Alka Singh, she is frankly ugly, literally and figuratively. (more)

Kangana Ranaut breaks the 'Queen' mould with 'Revolver Rani'

She plays the Venice-loving, gun-trotting politician in Chambal with much aplomb. From a vulnerable Rani in Queen to the mighty Alka Singh in Revolver Rani, the actress sure knows how to make and then, equally easily, break the mould.(more)

This is not Kangana Ranauts territory

This Rani, who hefts revolvers and shoots to kill, is neither wholly a cartoon figure, nor completely credible(more)
