Aishwarya Rai to play Dalbir Kaur In Omung Kumar's Sarabjit biopic
After the super success of ‘Mary Kom, director Omung Kumar is all set to showcase the struggle of another real life brave heart. Omung’s upcoming film is a biopic on Sarabjit Singh, the Indian prisoner who died after a brutal attack in a Pakistani jail in 2013.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been roped in to play the role of Sarabjit’s sister, Dalbir Kaur, who treated him like her son than her brother. Dalbir’s determination to release her brother from Pakistan was no less than a struggle. In 23 years, when Sarabjit was in jail, Dalbir met him only thrice and her only goal in life was to get justice for Sarabjit.
The film shooting will begin in October and the film will be shot in Punjab. The film will release in May 2016.
