KSY completes 50 Days

Kadhalil Sodhapavadhu Yeppadi (KSY) quietly completes 50 days today. This bilingual movie brought in lots of accolades and cash for everybody involved with this movie. The movie also set a new trend of producing a movie (in Tamil) through a profit sharing model as producers Nirav Shah and Siddarth took a share from the profits. Even though this is a healthy trend that minimizes the risk for a lot of people involved in the trade, it is surprising to see not many producers and actors seem to have adopted this successful model yet. Is it because our producers lack confidence or focused only short-term? Probably, both.

Anyways, Congrats to Director Balaji Mohan, Siddarth and team for giving a quality film and at the same time setting a new trend in Tamil on how to produce a movie without have to lose one's shirt.
