Bombay Velvet directed by Anurag Kashyap is an adaptation of Gyan Prakash's book Mumbai Fables and narrates the story of how the city became a metropolis against the backdrop of love, greed, violence and jazz music. The film is scheduled for release on May 15, 2015.

The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar in lead roles with Kay Kay Menon, Siddharth Basu and Manish Choudhary appearing in supporting roles.
