Akshay Kumar's remuneration for Airlift
According to reports Akshay Kumar has not charged a penny for his upcoming film Airlift directed by Raja Krishna Menon. The actor has instead opted to instead share 80 per cent of the profit as his fees. The film which has been budgeted at 30 crores will see Akshay in the role of an intelligent Arab billionaire.
Airlift went on floors recently. Nimrat Kaur of 'Lunchbox' fame plays the female lead. The film details the world's largest civilian evacuation, master minded and spear headed by Kuwaiti billionaire, Ranjit Katyal who used the national carrier Air India, to evacuate over 170,000 Indians.
The film is a co-production between T-series, Cape of Good Films, Crouching Tiger and Emmay Entertainment. The film is slated to release on January 22, 2016.
