Aishwarya Rai to begin work on Jazbaa from January 12

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is set to make a comeback with Sanjay Gupta's "Jazbaa" after a hiatus of four years, will start working for the film from next week.

Director Sanjay Gupta along with Aishwarya and her co-stars Irrfan Khan, Shabana Azmi, Anupam Kher and others, is said to undergo a detailed script-reading session on 12 January. The session was supposed to take place on 9 January but got postponed due to Khan's poor health.

"The makers want the actors and other technicians to be comfortable with one another and let them understand each other's working styles before the film starts rolling. That's why the entire primary, as well as secondary cast (of about 17-18 actors) in addition to the heads of the other departments of the movie, will be present at the script-reading session." a source told Hindustan Times.

"Jazbaa" is a female-centric film and Aishwarya will play the lead role of a lawyer. Irrfan will be playing the role of a suspended cop and Shabana Azmi as his mother and a renowned professor.
